Website Speed Optimisation Service for WordPress & Shopify
A slow website quietly costs you money. Visitors leave before the page loads, mobile shoppers abandon carts, and Google’s Core Web Vitals flag your pages as a poor experience.
Our page speed optimisation work starts by finding what’s actually slowing your site down. Then we fix it at a fixed price, with before-and-after results you can check yourself.
Signs you need speed optimisation
- PageSpeed Insights shows red scores on mobile.
- Search Console says “Core Web Vitals assessment failed”, or flags poor LCP, INP or CLS URLs.
- Your WordPress admin is painfully slow.
- Your Shopify store got slower every time you added an app.
- Visitors complain, or your bounce rate on mobile is high.
What we fix
WordPress
- Plugin audit: remove, replace or consolidate heavy plugins.
- Page builder bloat: reduce DOM size and unused CSS and JS.
- Caching (page, object, browser) and CDN setup with Cloudflare.
- Image optimisation: WebP/AVIF, correct sizing, lazy loading.
- Database clean-up and PHP version upgrades.
- Hosting review, because sometimes the server is the bottleneck.
Shopify
- App audit, including leftover code from uninstalled apps.
- Theme code optimisation: render-blocking scripts, unused sections, Liquid loops.
- Image and video optimisation.
- Third-party scripts (chat, reviews, tracking) loaded smarter.
- Font loading and layout shift fixes.
Core Web Vitals optimisation
- LCP (loading): hero images, server response, critical CSS.
- INP (responsiveness): heavy JavaScript, long tasks, third-party scripts.
- CLS (visual stability): image dimensions, fonts, injected banners.

Our honest approach
We won’t chase a perfect 100 PageSpeed score at the expense of features your business needs. We focus on the metrics that affect real visitors and rankings, which are Google’s real-user Core Web Vitals, and we explain every trade-off.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my WordPress website very slow?
The usual culprits are too many or poorly coded plugins, heavy page builders, unoptimised images, no caching, an old PHP version, or cheap shared hosting. Most slow sites have several of these at once.
What does “Core Web Vitals assessment failed” mean?
Google’s real-user data shows your pages are too slow to load (LCP), slow to respond to taps and clicks (INP), or jump around while loading (CLS). It’s measured on actual visitors over 28 days, so improvements show in Search Console gradually.
Will a Shopify speed optimization app fix my store?
Sometimes a little, but many speed apps add their own scripts, and none can fix theme code, leftover app code or third-party bloat. Manual optimisation usually goes much further.
Do you offer a Shopify speed optimization service?
Yes. For Shopify we audit your apps (including leftover code from ones you’ve uninstalled), tidy the theme code and sort out images and third-party scripts, then give you a before-and-after report. Pricing is on this page.
How do you get access to my Shopify store?
Through a collaborator request from our Shopify Partner account, so you don’t have to add us as staff or give us an admin login. You approve the request, set what we can access, and can remove us at any time.
Does site speed affect SEO?
Yes. Core Web Vitals are part of Google’s page experience signals, and faster pages convert better. It’s rarely the only ranking factor, though, so we pair speed work with a broader SEO audit when rankings are the goal.
How long does it take?
It depends on the site. We confirm the timeline in your fixed-price quote.
